Letter from the Founder

Is your team still on track to hit your Q1 goals and beyond?

Or has 2024 already presented new challenges and opportunities that have shifted your priorities?

It can be tough to pivot away from strategic goals so early in the year.

But let's be honest, priorities change. The most successful companies are willing to acknowledge those changes, reorient, and move in a new direction.

Here’s one example of how we’re reorienting at Echo this year: we’re saying YES to the exciting opportunity to become a Microsoft partner!

Does taking on this opportunity mean we need to adjust our strategic plan?

Sure.

But I can’t tell you how many teams I’ve connected with who...

... feel like their work lives in a million different places in the Microsoft environment.

... can’t get the many MS 365 programs to work together in harmony.

... know that they could do more with Microsoft, but are too overwhelmed to try and optimize. ... want to spend less time tinkering with their workflow and more time doing their work.

And I want Echo to support those teams.

Becoming a Microsoft Partner isn’t only aligned with our values of Learn, Share, Grow, Care — it directly benefits our current and future network of clients.

Remember: unexpected changes happen. How can you view them as new opportunities for growth today?

Onwards and Upwards!

Recap: Essentials of Project Management

echolocity-jason-lashelle-essentials-of-project-management

Did you miss our latest webinar, Essentials of Project Management? Not to worry! We created a quick breakdown of some of the topics from the live session. You can click the button below to watch the recap video, or skim through the highlights here:

💥 A project is "a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product or service or result."

💥 Humans have been managing projects for a long time. Have you ever considered that The Great Wall of China or The Great Pyramids of Egypt were built using project management?

💥 Waterfall and Agile are two common methodologies for Project Management. Waterfall involves a clearly defined sequence of execution with project phases, and each phase is completed in succession. A great way to understand this is imagining building a house; you need the foundation first, then the frame, then the roof, etc. Agile takes a more iterative approach to projects, focusing on continuous releases while making adjustments at every stage.

💥 The Triple Constraint Theory (aka, The Iron Triangle) describes the relationship between project budget, scope, and schedule.

💥 A Project Sponsor is responsible for the project's success, but isn't the one managing the project directly. This team member has an important role in managing stakeholder visibility.

Bonus: Tune in to hear Echo Founder Molly Yanus discuss the importance of a positive relationship between a project manager and project sponsor.
