Getting Microsoft OneDrive to Work with Finder on Mac OS | Preview files in Finder without download

In this video we provide a guide on integrating OneDrive with Finder on Mac OS. Mac users often work in Microsoft-heavy environments, necessitating the use of OneDrive or SharePoint for cloud storage. Despite potential concerns, integrating OneDrive with Finder is straightforward. Download OneDrive from the App Store, install it, and follow the steps to add an account and select folders for syncing with Finder. If Finder integration issues arise, users can enable Finder extensions via System Settings / Privacy and Security / Extensions. OneDrive files in Finder will show icons indicating whether they are stored locally or in the cloud. Users can preview files without downloading them fully and free up space by sending files back to the cloud. Use favorites in Finder to quickly access frequently used folders. Microsoft 365 announced at a recent conference that there will be some upcoming enhancements for Mac users, including reduced battery and CPU usage, faster boot performance, and a 33% reduction in memory footprint. These improvements should make OneDrive integration more efficient over the next few months. ➡️ Resources for You: Our Website - https://echoprojectmanagement.com/ Meet with Us - https://www.echoprojectmanagement.com/schedule-meeting Our LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/echo-consulting-pm/ Subscribe Here: https://www.youtube.com/c/EchoConsulting?sub_confirmation=1 ➡️ Recommended Playlists: Microsoft 365 Tutorials & Tips → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meWGjWvNc3Q&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg7i3llBtnGkWI_rOF1x-r3V Smartsheet Tutorials & Tips → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQazpDmRWis&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg6eBqKtnAtWk3iJS_-mpyiX Monday.com Tutorials & Tips → https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO3D1ido-Qg4aMalxkqUNRML-iB387tqu Asana Tutorials & Tips → https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO3D1ido-Qg783975SGf7SIW0AtH6VASs ClickUp Tutorials & Tips → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rCwzCVSP7I&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg6X1Mv27JAgxCm17xxbauvM Project Management → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozVgrvT9BlU&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg7P_Cxs2CAIm6dW55LNPpKf Webinars → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2LH1Gytj5g&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg4Evvvww8gtUgVgc05f2Qup 0:00 Introduction 1:39 Setting Up OneDrive 3:25 Conclusion

How to Connect Smartsheet to Power BI | Part 2: Creating More Complex Visuals

Now that we've got our Smartsheet Data source imported to Power BI, it's time to build some visuals! In Part 2 of our Power BI to Smartsheet series, Caroline demonstrates how to work with your Smartsheet data set to create more complex visuals, adjust formatting and filters, gain helpful insights from your data set, and publish the visuals for easy visibility across a team. Make sure to watch her two use cases for using Power BI in project management: viewing projects per consultant, and projects per client! To connect Smartsheet to Power BI, you can use the Smartsheet connector available in Power BI Desktop. Here's a step-by-step guide: Open Power BI Desktop: Launch Power BI Desktop on your computer. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft website. Get Data: In Power BI Desktop, click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon menu, and then click on "Get Data" in the "External Data" group. Select Smartsheet Connector: In the "Get Data" window, search for "Smartsheet" in the search bar or locate it under the "Online Services" category. Click on "Smartsheet" and then click "Connect." Authenticate: Power BI will prompt you to sign in to your Smartsheet account. Enter your credentials (email and password) and click "Sign In." Choose Data: After successful authentication, you'll see a navigator window displaying your Smartsheet workspaces, sheets, and reports. Navigate through your Smartsheet account structure and select the data you want to import into Power BI. You can choose one or multiple sheets/reports. Click "Load" when you're ready. Transform Data (Optional): You can perform data transformations using Power Query Editor before loading the data into Power BI. This step allows you to clean, filter, or reshape the data as needed. Click on "Transform Data" to open Power Query Editor. Load Data: After transforming the data (if necessary), click on "Close & Load" to import the selected data into Power BI. Visualize Data: Power BI will load the data into the data model, and you'll be directed to the report view. Here, you can create visualizations, reports, and dashboards based on your Smartsheet data. Refresh Data: To keep your Power BI reports up to date with changes in your Smartsheet data, you can configure scheduled refreshes. Click on "Home" in the ribbon menu and then click on "Schedule Refresh" to set up automatic data refreshes. That's it! You've successfully connected Smartsheet to Power BI, allowing you to analyze and visualize your Smartsheet data within the Power BI environment. (Missed part 1 of this series? How to Connect Smartsheet to Power BI | Part 1: Selecting Data & Building a Visual

Do you store your project data in Smartsheet, but are looking to create more engaging visuals to illustrate for your team? Smartsheet and Power BI can be used together to bring your project data to life, helping to improve visibility and understanding on projects. In the first of a two-part video series, Caroline Henne kicks things off by demonstrating how to select your Smartsheet data in Power BI, and illustrates how to create a simple visual in the Power BI environment. To connect Smartsheet to Power BI, you can use the built-in connector in Power BI Desktop. Here's a step-by-step guide: Open Power BI Desktop: If you haven't already, download and install Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft website. Get Data: Launch Power BI Desktop and click on "Get Data" from the Home tab on the ribbon. Select Smartsheet Connector: In the "Get Data" window, search for "Smartsheet" in the search bar or navigate to "All" and find Smartsheet from the list of connectors. Click on "Smartsheet" and then click "Connect." Authenticate: Power BI will prompt you to sign in to your Smartsheet account. Enter your credentials and sign in. Choose Data: After authentication, you'll see a navigator window where you can select the Smartsheet data you want to import. Choose the sheets or reports you want to bring into Power BI by checking the boxes next to their names. Then click "Load" or "Transform Data" to continue. Transform Data (Optional): If you click on "Transform Data," it will open Power Query Editor where you can apply transformations to your data before loading it into Power BI. You can clean, filter, or reshape your data here. Load Data: Once you're done with transformations (if any), click on "Close & Load" to import the data into Power BI. Visualize Data: Power BI will load the data into the data model. You can then create visualizations, reports, and dashboards based on your Smartsheet data. Refresh Data: After creating your reports, you can set up automatic data refresh so that Power BI pulls in the latest data from Smartsheet on a schedule. You can configure this from the "Home" tab by clicking on "Schedule Refresh." That's it! You've successfully connected Smartsheet to Power BI. Now you can leverage Power BI's robust visualization and analysis capabilities to gain insights from your Smartsheet data. 💥 Looking for Part 2 of this series, where Caroline demonstrates how to create more complex visuals for different needs?
